Merlot
Merlot was one of the first varieties planted in our Casablanca vineyard. It has been a rediscovery, showing great adaptability to the area. Its characteristics are unique within Chile, where few Merlots come cool climate vineyards.
Vineyards facing south and north
Decomposed granite mixed with clay in the north-facing vineyards, and clayey silt in the south-facing slopes
This Merlot delivers intense fruity aromas of cherries and plum. The wild yeast fermentation provides freshness, smoothness and structure. Aged in 5000 L foudres in order to increase elegance and complexity.
